See the land like never before: LiDAR relief maps

We added a LiDAR shaded-relief basemap that renders the ground in remarkable detail. Where a standard map flattens everything, LiDAR relief shows you the real shape of the land: ridgelines and draws, steep drop-offs, benches, road cuts, and the subtle contours that tell you how to get in and where the water sits.

For anglers and hikers alike, reading the terrain before you go is half the battle. The relief basemap makes that read obvious at a glance.

Where to find it

Open the basemap switcher and choose LiDAR, or Satellite + Relief to drape imagery over the same terrain. It's available anywhere we've built high-resolution terrain, and we're expanding that coverage state by state.
