Guidepole Fire 1.2.2: a cleaner data-layers UI, faster and lighter

Guidepole Fire 1.2.2 is now on the App Store. This release focuses on the two things you feel every time you open the app: how quickly you can get to the layer you want, and how the app treats your phone.

A new, improved data-layers UI

The layers menu - wildfires, smoke, hot spots, air quality, red-flag warnings - has been rebuilt to be clearer and quicker to use. Toggling what you see on the map is now faster and easier to scan, so you spend less time hunting for a control and more time reading the map.

Faster, and easier on your battery

We tightened up how the app renders and refreshes data, so it runs smoother and uses less power. That means a snappier map and more battery left for the rest of your day outside.
