This update is all about a smoother, more reliable start. We focused on the first thirty seconds — opening the app, seeing where you are, and getting straight to the fire or smoke you tapped an alert about.

What's new

  • The map now centers on your location the moment you open the app, instead of starting on a default view.
  • The satellite layers load more reliably, with fewer momentary hiccups.
  • Tapping a wildfire or smoke alert now opens straight to the right place, even right after you sign in.
  • Clearer alert emails for the places you're watching.
  • Lower battery use while the app is in the background.
  • You can now reach support without an account.
  • Behind-the-scenes stability and performance fixes.

Thanks for using Guidepole Fire. Keep the feedback coming.
