Works Without Cell Service

The best fishing spots don't have cell towers. The Guidepole mobile app keeps working offline — manage trips, check schedules, take photos, write messages. Everything syncs automatically when you're back in range.

Powered by NoGrid technology.

Most guide software breaks where you actually guide

Every other guide platform assumes you have WiFi. Check your schedule? Need signal. Review client details? Need signal. Take a booking photo and send it to a client? Better hope that marina has 4G.

Guides don't work in offices. You work on boats, in canyons, on remote lakes, 20 miles offshore. Guidepole was built for where you actually are — not where Silicon Valley thinks you are.

Built for where you guide

Offshore charter

20 miles out, no cell towers. Your schedule, client info, and camera all work. Gary handles inquiries back on shore.

Backcountry fly fishing

Three days in the wilderness. Take photos, log notes, track conditions. Everything syncs when you hit the trailhead.

Remote lake guide

The best lakes don't have cell service. Guidepole doesn't need it. Check tomorrow's bookings, review client notes, take hero shots.

International trips

Guiding in Canada or Alaska with spotty coverage? Offline mode means no roaming charges and no app failures.

How offline mode works

Sync before you leave. Work without signal. Auto-sync when you're back.

1

Data pre-syncs before you leave

Guidepole detects you're heading to a known dead zone (or you can trigger a manual sync). Your schedule, client details, trip info, and messages are cached locally on your device.

2

Work normally without signal

Check your schedule, view client details, take trip photos, write notes, compose messages. Everything works exactly the same — the app doesn't care whether you have signal or not.

3

Gary handles what you can't

If you've opted in, Gary manages incoming inquiries, booking requests, and client messages while you're offline. He follows your rules about what he's allowed to do.

4

Auto-sync when you reconnect

Drive back into range and everything uploads in the background. Photos, messages, schedule updates — all synced. No manual step.

5

Reconnection briefing

See a full summary of everything that happened while you were offline: inquiries Gary handled, bookings confirmed, messages received. Approve or reverse any action with one tap.

Gary keeps working while you're off the grid

Opt in and Gary handles your business while you're out of range. He responds to inquiries, accepts bookings that match your rules, handles cancellation backfill, and queues everything for your review. When you reconnect, you get a full briefing of every action he took — and you can approve or reverse any of them with one tap.

You control exactly how much authority Gary has. Set him to "acknowledge only" and he just lets clients know you're on the water. Set him to "full auto" and he runs your booking operation while you focus on guiding.

What you can do offline

Full schedule access

View your entire calendar offline — upcoming trips, client details, booking info, special instructions. Everything you need is cached before you leave.

Offline photo capture

Snap trip photos without signal. They queue locally and upload in the background when connectivity returns — watermarked and ready to share.

Queue messages

Write messages to clients while offline. They send automatically when you're back in range. No lost context, no forgotten follow-ups.

Gary covers for you

While you're out of range, Gary handles incoming inquiries, responds to clients, and can even accept bookings that match your criteria.

Automatic sync

Everything you did offline — schedule changes, photos, messages, notes — syncs automatically when connectivity returns. No manual upload. No conflicts.

Dead zone learning

The app learns where you lose signal and pre-syncs your data before you get there. Your favorite fishing spots, that stretch of highway, the marina with bad coverage.

The difference

Without Guidepole

  • Lose signal = lose access to your schedule
  • Can't check client details on the water
  • Photos stuck on your phone until you have WiFi
  • Missed inquiries and bookings while offline
  • Come back to chaos — emails, texts, missed calls

With Guidepole

  • Full schedule and client data cached locally
  • Everything works exactly the same offline
  • Photos auto-upload and watermark on reconnect
  • Gary handles inquiries and bookings for you
  • Reconnection briefing: one screen, every update

Frequently asked questions

How much data does offline mode store on my device?

Offline mode caches your schedule, client details, trip information, and pending messages — typically under 50MB. Photos are stored at full resolution but compressed for efficient sync. You control how far ahead your calendar syncs (default is 14 days).

What if someone books while I'm offline?

If Gary is enabled, he handles incoming bookings according to your rules — auto-accepting trips that match your criteria, responding to inquiries, and holding time slots. If Gary is not enabled, clients see your availability as it was when you last synced, and bookings queue until you reconnect.

Can offline changes conflict with online changes?

Guidepole uses conflict-free sync. If the same record was changed both offline and online (rare), you'll see both versions and pick which one to keep. In practice, conflicts almost never happen because Gary manages the online side while you're offline.

Does offline mode work on all devices?

Offline mode is powered by NoGrid technology and works on the Guidepole iOS and Android mobile apps. The mobile apps provide full offline functionality with background sync and dead zone learning. The web dashboard requires an internet connection.
